These links allow you to read about comedy. Between the articles, the biographies, the help documents and the eBook LAugh Support Strikes Back there is more than a library of reading material for comedians. Were you to print out each article, using both sides of standard 8 by 11 paper you would have enough information to fill five two inch notebooks. All this information is free.

#1: Help Files: The help files were created to allow you to access step by step instructions for using this site. Some of the tools here, like the control panel for registered members do a hell of a lot of things. The help files are basically the manual that comes with the site.

#2: Comedian FAQs: Steve Silverberg once maintained a set of FAQs for comedians. These are the slightly more saracastic answers to "What is a booker looking for in LA?" It's outdated; but as the oldest part of the site, I left it on out of nostagia.

#3: The Articles For Comedians: These currently house 116 articles about stand-up comedy, open mics, book shows, interviews with syndicated columnist. They actually run the gamet. You can categorize them, rank them one to five stars and comment on them. You can sort the articles by date, ranking or title. You can even take an interactive quiz to see if you're learning anything or if you should keep your day job. Registered members can submit new articles, but guest columns must be approved. Once a revenue stream starts coming in again, I will begin paying for articles on becoming a better comic.

#4: Comedian Forums 3.0: So far the comedian forums have been somewhat of a dismal failure. That's why I'm probably going to take them down and upgrade from the PHP BBB version 2.0 to 3.0. There's currently no way to perform this upgrade and keep all the posts. If that happens you will need two reregister, all two of us.

#5: Comedians/ Comic Actor Biographies: One of the best ways to succeed is to learn how others did it before you. Within this site are 95 biographies of successful stand-up comics and 115 biographies of successful comic actors. These bios were compiled from about five different sources. In some cases, like Rita Ruder, Laraine Newman and Rene Hicks this site offers the only complete picture of what the person did to rise from obscurity into an overnight success.

#6: LAugh Support Strikes Back: With the permission of Rob Twohy this is a recreation of LAugh Support, the newsletter for comedians, which lasted for two years while he ran San Genarro. In addition, the executable file version adds new tie in articles and reformats the web-based additions. Also included is every issue of LAugh Support for fans, one additional issue [to give the newsletter a proper send off] and a free workbook for comedians. LAugh Support Srikes Back is also available in PDF format or in lit format with additional articles that were originally only available at the Comedy Library at HeyLady.
